About the event
Black Lives Matter - Sciences Po Campus de Reims and Pour Nous have organized this conference exploring racism and COVID-19 in France, the US, and the UK. The objectives of this discussion are not only to explore racial disparities in healthcare access and medical racism, but to also critically engage the "taboo" of gathering ethno-racial data in France: how does this restraint preclude addressing the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on Black and Brown populations in France?
Join us in conversation with Ghyslain Vedeux, Director of PPAD (Platform for prevention action, and fight against all forms of vulnerabilities and discrimination) and Patrick Simon, Director of research at the Institut national des études démographiques.
